Alphabe-Thursday - Q for Quail eggs
Quails are small, plump terrestrial birds. Quail eggs are considered a delicacy in many countries. I liked the spotted texture of the eggs. Posted under Alphabe-Thursday's Letter Q
Nice photo, Shiju. When I was growing up, my mother worked for a doctor who owned a farm that raise pheasant and quail. He often let me collect the eggs and we'd have a quail egg omelet ( it would take plenty of them ). We'd also get a steady supply of pheasants and quail to eat...very tasty when done right. I also like sushi with raw quail eggs top.

Wonderful photo! It would take a lot of those eggx to make an omelette!!
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty...I don't think I've ever had quail eggs! If they are as good as they are pretty though, I'd certainly try them...
