My dear friend from India bought me a Sony camcorder years ago when he visited me...sadly, on a trip to Athens, when I was charging it at the Hilton, it, somehow, destroyed it - though I was using the appropriate converter. The cost to get it fixed was more than he paid for the darn thing at Costco. I was so sad about that!
