I have always loved bamboo. I guess because it reminds me of places exotic and distant, like Japan and Asia. I have been so lucky to do two Asian cruises and to have visited Japan twice in recent years and that one time, before an Asian cruise, I did get to India for ten days. I got to see a great deal of bamboo everywhere. We do have it here but not in such abundance, mainly in Asian gardens.
