Last Sunday morning, we went on a quick trip to Kaikondrahalli lake in Bangalore. Due to some other engagements, we could spend only one hour at the lake.

Hoopoes are colourful birds notable for their distinctive "crown" of feathers...

A Great Cormorant was seen diving in search of fish...
It succeeded in catching a big one...

ReplyDeleteSo many amazing photos, it's hard to decide which I like best...my sport-fisherman father would have loved the Great Cormorant with its neck-stretching catch, and I can never resist a squirrel of any sort, but those stripes are wonderful. The reflection of the Intermediate Egret is outstanding, however! What a beautiful, beautiful blog post!
