Photo walk at Hebbal lake

Back in February, on one of  my many photo walks at Hebbal lake, I caught a glimpse of a spotted owl. The spotted owl is said to be a regular sight there. On that day, I could only capture its peep. I revisited Hebbal lake to get a better view of the bird and in the bargain I also spotted a few other birds. Here's a photo tour...

The owl was very shy this time too. This is the only shot I could get...

Ashy Prinia...

 Rose-ringed parakeet...

Common Hawk-cuckoo...

Male Koel...

The beautiful sunrise...

  4. Magical! I love birds in all their plummage. They are such interesting creatures. I didn't know that they would use smaller hawks to get food for the more prized falcons. It's amazing what you can learn when you are blogging. P.S. your pictures are beautiful too.
