A lunch at The Fisherman's Wharf

Last Saturday's lunch was at the newly opened Fisherman's Wharf at Lavelle Road, Bangalore. Here's a photo tour...

Fisherman’s Wharf is a world cuisine bistro which provides guests the opportunity to feel the coastal flavors of Goa...

The interiors are done up with warm cozy colors, depicting the sandy shores and blue waves of Goa...

Paintings depict the cheerful life in Goa...

Started with the Rawa fried Prawns and Batter Fried Squids...

Sea Devil - Bacon wrapped Prawns...

That's my Margarita in the middle...

Stuffed Crab - Traditional Goan style baked crab...

Zafrani Paneer Tikka - Cottage cheese marinated in Indian spices and saffron, cooked in a tandoor...

Shrimp Salad...

Sushi...

Chorizo Pao - Traditional Goan Pork Sausage with Goan Salad...

Main course...
Chicken Cafreal with Potato Layonnaise - Chicken marinated with fine paste of green chilly, ginger, garlic and coriander leaves.

Prawn Balchao - Prawns cooked in spicy Goan red gravy...

Beans Foogath...

Seafood Platter had Pomfret Rechado, Snapper Fillet Cafreal, Butter Garlic Tiger Prawns...

Kiwi Daiquiri to wash the food down...

Pork Assad - Another Goan roasted specialty...

Goan Prawn Curry with Goan Boiled Rice...

Mushroom Tonak -  Button Mushrooms sautéed with coconut, Goan spices and coconut milk...

Dessert...
Bebinca, specialty of Goa served with Vanilla Ice Cream...

The Bar serves an impressive range of drinks...

Loved these hats...

Overall, it was a very enjoyable lunch with some pretty interesting food and pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed clicking the colorful dishes. Will gladly return soon...

  5. This restaurant should pay your for the use of these beautiful photos of their food! Looks like this is a place for a total dining experience to be savored slowly--and in the company of friends.

  6. It all looks more than delicious. I've never managed to get to Goa, though I've had more than my share of margaritas, sailing the Mexican coast and eating in hundreds of Mexican restaurants in California. I might add that I make some fabulous margaritas myself. I've also had prawn balchao which Royal Caribbean crew friends used to bring back from vacations home - that and Bombay duck which I love.
