    1. LOL. The flower looks like the suspender (Brace) buttons, which are usually worn by bachelors. Hence the name, I guess.

  16. Is this the same as Gomphrena? The bachelot's buttons I know are cornflowers, with a flatter bloom.

    1. Yes, this is Gomphrena globosa. It is commonly known as Bachelor's Buttons or Globe Amaranth.
