Chameleon’s have separately mobile and stereoscopic eyes. The upper and lower eyelids are joined, with only a pinhole large enough for the pupil to see through. They can rotate and focus separately to observe two different objects simultaneously.

ReplyDeleteI had been following this chameleon for months with very limited success in getting a good shot. It used to flee at every slight movement. Now it is too old and is completely lacking reflex. I could go really close and had to wake him up to take this shot.
