Turahalli mini forest

Bird watching  trip to Turahalli mini forest in Bangalore always guarantees interesting sightings. Here are my sightings of birds, blooms, bugs and butterflies...

It is the blooming season of  Cassia fistula, commonly known as golden shower. It is the state flower of Kerala in India where it is called Kanikonna poo. The edible flower usually blooms around the Vishu festival  which falls on 15th April and is widely sought by those who celebrate the festival...
