Winged beauties of Hebbal

First Sunday of the year saw me at the beautiful Hebbal lake in Bangalore. Here are some winged beauties I saw in the misty morning...

Sunrise...

Bright green in the mist...

Indian Pond Heron...

Take off...

Flight...

Ashy Prinia...

Little Egret caught a little fish...

Ashy Drongo caught a bee...

Common Tailorbird also seems to have caught a worm...

Rose-ringed Parakeet...

Little Egret in flight...

White-cheeked Barbet...

Show-stopper of the day was this Purple-rumped Sunbird...

  8. Beautiful captures! I came across via Skywatch Friday because of your Sunbird in the thumbnail.Indeed a showstopper. I loved the Ashy Drongo with a bee. I relate to all the birds you showed as many of them fly the great distance from Asia to Africa! Greetings Jo (South Africa)
