Festival Cocktails Masterclass

It is always a pleasure to attend Hemant Mundkur's cocktail master classes. In keeping with the holiday spirit, he conducted a session on making festival cocktails. Hemant is the Brand Ambassador of Diageo Bar Academy.
Here's a photo tour of the afternoon of cocktails and a delightful surprise towards the end...

The cocktails can be made at home as the ingredients used are easily available at home...

While I was looking around, Hemant quickly fixed a Blood Orange Spritzer for me...

Cinnamon is the best spice for cocktails...

And of course the star ingredients...

The first demo of the day is the Pomegranate & Rosemary Fizz...

Pomegranate & Rosemary Fizz is a sweet and sour combination of pomegranate and lime with Smirnoff vodka...

Here's the recipe...

Next up was the Spiced Cookie...

Here's the recipe...

The Red Gift...

Here's the recipe...

Gingerbread Man...

Here's the recipe...

Royal Apple & Cinnamon Pie...

Here's the recipe...

After sampling all the nice cocktails it was time for the promised surprise. The surprise was SIMI - Your Personal Bartender. It is a Facebook Messenger chatbot developed by Diageo, that will offer over 2000 DIY (Do It Yourself) cocktail recipes which can be made at home with simple ingredients...

The participants were paired into teams of two. I got an apple as the ingredient for my DIYcocktail...

Simi is quite easy to handle. Just type 'Simi Your Personal Bartender' in the search field of Facebook Messenger and type the ingredient you have in your kitchen...

We chose to make Sky Scraper...

And here's our creation in which we substituted Lemon grass with Rosemary. The result was amazing...

Me and my team member Nameesh with our proud creation...
