American Independence Day celebrations at Habanero, Bangalore

Habanero, the Tex-Mex joint in Indiranagar, Bangalore is planning an all-American fare for the upcoming Fourth of July, American Independence day celebrations. I got to preview the food today...

Habanero is already looking festive with red, white and blue balloons...

The colorful bar...

The spacious interior...

Traditional Fresh Guacamole prepared live at my table...

Guacamole is a dip made from avocados...

Spinach artichoke dip chicken with chips...

Classic Tequila Margarita...

Macho Nacho veg...

The beautiful lamp shades...

Main course had some awesome american burgers.
Chipotle burger with avacado salsa beef...

Spicy barbecue burger with blue cheese carrot coleslaw chicken...

Garbanzo bean burger...

Texas style fried fish sandwich...

Mango salsa with chips...

And the dessert...

It was a delight to meet Elizabeth Bowden David, the owner of Habanero...

Here's how she and David started Habanero...

It was a most satisfying preview. Happy Independence day to all Americans. Have fun!

  4. Thank you, my dear Shiju. Great story and great pics. It is now July 1 here in the USA and my countdown has started.

I found the two Sony Holland CDs that were autographed for you and I hope to post them today. I hope they aren't damaged from over a year in storage. I only got to see her a three times while I was home. It's wonderful that they are back in San Francisco, having landed a gig three evenings a week for happy hour at the JW Marriott.

Your photographs are certainly beyond excellent. The food looks delicious! Makes me hungry and I haven't even had breakfast yet. rofl
