Kerb-side eateries of Bangalore Airport

Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), Bangalore is fast turning into a foodie's delight...

Located on the outskirts of Bangalore, KIA seems to be an ideal pit-stop after a long drive or visit to the nearby Nandi Hills...

I got a chance to explore the culinary scene at the Kerb-side eateries. Here's a photo tour...

I started with Maiyas for a vegetarian south Indian breakfast...

Chow chow Bhath is a two-in-one dish. One sweet (Pinapple kesari bhath) and one spicy (Khara bhath), both made of semolina...

Bisi Bele Bhath is a one pot south Indian meal. It is a mix of rice, lentils and vegetables seasoned with some Indian spices...

After the breakfast, I tried the filter coffee and Iyengar bakery biscuits at Hatti Kaapi...

Filter Coffee is a sweet milky coffee made from dark roasted coffee beans...

The terracotta tumblers make the traditional south Indian filter coffee more magical in taste and appearance...

Kaati Zone for north Indian style wraps and rolls...

Chai point serves a variety of hot and cold teas...

I tried the Ginger Lemon Iced tea...

I had my lunch at Café Noir, located at the extreme left side of the terminal...

Carbonara spaghetti...

Chicken Lasagna...

Penne Pasta in creamy mushroom sauce ...

Grilled beef burger...

Western grilled chicken pizza...

The most amazing RicheLieu. The rich creamy filling and fruits on top made it delicious...

Caramel Tart...

Strawberry cake...

The talented chef...

The smiles...

  10. I love the terracotta cup with all the frothy bubbles. A great subject for art. I also remember those cups years ago when buying "chai" on train trips in India. Thanks for being part of Mandarin Orange Monday#100

  11. The egg yolk on top is different, I guess you just mix it in? I've never seen a terracotta cup used for coffee! I am myself, loving Indian food at the moment :)
