That mango is so beautiful, but i killed my tree like that as we don't like the taste. If you tasted our 'Carabao' mango you would not look for any variety anymore, even Kensington, Keitt, Haden. Sometimes they call ours as Manila mango, but Mexico is exporting Manila mango also as a brand, with different qualities than our own!
They taste wonderful too. The import ban in Europe will result in some loss to the farmers here. But we are elated that the superior varieties, usually meant for export is available in the local market.
Yum, that's delicious. We don't have a lot of that variety here, but my aunt had a tree and I love those because they're sweet and juicy when super ripe. And I just like the color a lot. I think it's called apple mango here because of the color.
Oh.... I love Mangoes, as a child I would eat them strait from the trees, now here in the state I don't eat them that much, I sure wish I did. Have a nice week!!

Your photos are beautiful. Such lovely pinks, oranges and yellows against the green foliage. I love the flavor of mangoes, but I really hate cutting them up. That big stone in the center is so difficult to get around.

ReplyDeleteNot monkeys. I have noted birds eating semi-ripe mangoes. The fully ripe ones fall at the slightest touch.
