Gems from the City of Pearls

Last weekend saw the family heading slightly up north to Hyderabad, known as the City of Pearls. Check out some gems we saw in our short two days trip...

A major part of our first day was spent at the Ramoji Film City, which holds the Guinness record for being the largest film studio complex in the world...

The 2000 acres film studio has an exhaustive number of scenic places. My favorite were the butterfly park and the bird park...

The grey crowned crane is such an attractive bird...

The grey crowned crane looks closely related to the black crowned crane but they are different species...

Carolina Duck...

Scarlet Ibis...

Oriental Garden Lizard...

Flamingo...

Buddha statue in the middle of Hussain Sagar lake...

  26. I never knew there was a scarlet ibis. Wow....gorgeous. And the crane...is the crown always open or did it display this especially for the photographer [you, I presume]? Excellent.

What a lovely family. Your portraits are so nice.

Oh and the film studio? Would I ever LOVE to see that.
