A walk in the green

I have been clicking less pictures during my current stay in Kerala. This place is irresistible with greenery everywhere.  But Kerala has left me deeply dissatisfied because of the almost nonexistent sidewalks for pedestrians.

Yesterday, I finally gathered some courage and went for my first morning walk. Walking along the main road was terrifying. The vehicles were racing just inches away from me.

The small roads are even more terrifying with just enough roadway for two vehicles to cross each other without hitting.

There were photo opportunities all along...

Finally, this river side made all the risk pretty worthwhile...

  4. Beautiful photography, Shiju, but, for heavens sake, be careful. You've spent enough time as a hospital patient, in case you've forgotten and now you have two little boys to inspire!!! When do you return to Bangalore?

    1. I will return to Bangalore when the mother and baby eases into something resembling a routine. Also, some ceremonies that requires my presence will keep me here for sometime.

  11. Roads that curve always invite closer inspection---especially when shadows are involved!

  15. The green reflections in the water are captivating. Too bad they don't have adjacent hiking trails.

  20. It does look pretty there. I know when I lived in Atlanta, Georgia I had problems with the little to no sidewalk thing. I took the bus everywhere, and I was always worried about getting ran over when I was walking.
