    1. Spotted while trekking at the Bannerghatta National Park, Bangalore. The sightings in the wild are rare, but they are quite abundant.

  17. Wonderful lighting, he does look as if he has just wandered out of the bushes after a refreshing nap! Must have been quick thinking to take the picture and then get out of the way. I must say seeing elephants first thing would be something else, my usual morning creature is a moose, not quite so cute.

    1. I was about 100 meters away. I fled from there after shooting. Lone elephants can often turn violent.
