Oh my goodness...I've never seen nor heard of this species. And, look what I've been missing. What an incredibly beautiful bird. A purple swamphen. I want them here in my part of the world.

Unusual blend of colours in these pukekos! I have only seen the dark blue and black ones! So love the buttery, golden yellow background highlighting them!
