Super Moon of May 05, 2012

The perigee full Moon yesterday is said to be as much as 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full moons of 2012. The cloud cover increased the drama and compelled me to do some time lapse photography.

  11. I didn't even go out last night, sad to say. I am so out of touch with everything. It was Cinco de Mayo here which I wouldn't have missed even ten years ago, joining the throngs in San Francisco's Mission District, partying in the streets till early morning...&, though I might have seen the moon through tequila blurred eyes, I would have seen it.

Thanks, dear Shiju, for bringing it to me as only you can. You are such a superb photographer. Can you do time lapse photography and take my wrinkles away, please, sir?

    1. These are hand held captures. I took 13 shots with a gap of 3 or 4 seconds. It is very easy to create the animated GIF. Just import the pictures into Adobe ImageReady and set a delay time of 0.2 seconds for each frame.
