Barbeque Nation at Rajajinagar

I was at Barbeque Nation yet again for the launch of their new outlet at Rajajinagar, Bangalore. Here's a picture tour...

Bappi Lahiri, the celebrated music composer and singer from Bollywood was present at the launch. As always, the 'Disco King' was adorning a ton of gold jewelry...

We sat down to try the food. Barbeque Nation is a pioneer in India to promote ‘DIY’ (do-it-yourself) cuisine with a concept of live on-the-table grill in India...

My son Nishant, just loved the chicken drumstick...

My favorite of the day was Crispy Corn. It was quite nice...

There were some really colorful cocktails that I loved clicking...

My son's favorite of the day was the chocolate Kulfi...

He was quite happy after filling his tummy with the scrumptious desserts...

I've always loved the dining experience at Barbeque Nation and this one was no different.
My previous visits are documented here:

Morning walk at Kanakkary

I was in Kerala for a short trip. In one of my morning walks at Kanakkary village, I came across a road named after Victor George. Upon googling, I found that Victor George was an Indian photographer who died while photographing landslides in Kerala. He was born in Kanakkary, the very place I was standing. I decided to explore the area where Victor might have found his early photography inspirations. Here's a photo tour...

The area is mostly wooded with rubber tree plantations...

Beautiful plants on the weedy roadside...

The three ducks seemed to be following the chicken who crossed the road for some apparent reason...

Ferns grow in the crevices of rock...

Nutmeg fruit...

A juvenile chameleon curled its tail upon seeing me...

Australian bottle plant flowers...

Latex dripping from a rubber tree...

I couldn't identify this...

A millipede walking around with its many legs...

Fruits hanging from trees...

An abandoned quarry...

A pink flower...

A mushroom...

A spider web...

Lantana flowers...

The ducks were again spotted on my way back. This time they were quacking vociferously as if to convey their contempt for photography.

Waiting for Passion fruit to ripen

Our passion fruit vine started fruiting around August...

New flowers were blooming and turning into fruits...

By mid September our vine was heavily laden with fruits. We were expecting them to ripen by October when the weather is supposed to be warm and conducive for ripening...

As luck would have it, there was rain in October and Bangalore turned unusually chilly...

The intermittent rain and chill continued...

If the weather turns cold, the fruits may not turn yellow. Our wait for the fruits to ripen in these past three months was like watching paint dry...

We finally decided to cut open a green fruit to see if it is edible. To our surprise it tasted good although not totally sweet...

Our wait continues...
