My middle son, since birth practically, loved leopards. We had three stuffed ones, all the same, made by Dakin - since he was bereft when his leopard was missing, we wanted to insure we always had one. Alex was never really fooled by a substitute. "Dirty Leppie" - the original ( not really dirty, as he was washable, but, certainly threadbare ), went away to college when Alex was 18. It still resides somewhere in his home as does his wife's chilhood stuffed animal!
