Onam in Kerala and King Mahabali

Onam is the celebration that marks the homecoming of King Mahabali. It is the day when a grateful Kerala pays a glorious tribute to the memory of this benign king who gave his all for his subjects.

Hanuman - The God with muscles

This temple at Mahalakshmi layout in Bangalore has a very tranquil environment. The idol of Hanuman is a monolith carved from an ancient rock formation. I consider Hanuman to be the most powerful (in looks) among all the Hindu Gods. He is believed by some scholars to be a source for the Chinese mythological character Sun Wukong.

Mumbo Jumbo

Elephants are wonderful. I have been fascinated by these majestic creatures right from when I was a kid. I happened to stumble upon elephant links by Dey Alexander which is a great source for elephant related content. Below is a Photoshopped picture of me with elephant. I am shit scared to be this proximate with them in real life ;-)
My all time favourite elephant joke:
Q: What did the elephant say when he saw a dead ant on the road?
A: Deadant! Deadant! Deadant!!! (to be sung).

Q: What did he say when he saw a live ant on the road?
A: He stamped it to death and then said "Deadant! Deadant! Deadant!!!".

Light and Shadow

I just wrote and erased a letter. It was long, and I lost myself once again in my words.
I wish I could say what I mean, and I'll try.
There will come a time, gigantic waves will crush the junk that I have saved. When the moon will explode and I'll lose the souvenirs I've made.
Dear Wifey, you are beautiful and compassionate.
You are wonderful.

Dear Sweetheart

I hope you discover what I discovered -- that the world is full of beauty, hope, wonder, and love. And I hope you come to realize what I realized -- that nothing else matters.
Nothing.

I love you, desperately

Brothers - Rama and Laxman of Hindu Mythology

Rama and Laxman are Characters in the Hindu epic Ramayana. Rama, the elder brother is one of the most revered Gods in India. What you see here are two Bahuroopiyas dressed as Rama and Laxman. Bahuroopiyas are devotees of Gods who go around the country singing hymns in praise of the God.
