I made a short trip to Hoskote lake and also found some photo opportunity at home on return. Here are the photos...
...
Hoskote lake area continued to be overcast. A small Jerdon's Bushlark was seen foraging on the ground for seeds...
...
...
An Indian Silverbill showed up next...
...
A female Pied Bushchat was also sighted...
...
Next I saw a bunch of purple Bachelor's Button flowers...
...
It was amusing to see a clumsy male Baya Weaver starting to build a nest in the middle of monsoon. This fellow is very very late in this. Most of the others have already completed building and have got paired too...
Hello,
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous collection of photos, a lovely post. I think the Myna bird is a handsome bird, the Indian Silverbill and Baya Weaver are favorites too. The butterflies are lovely captures. Your flowers are beautiful, so colorful! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for the comment on my blog.
...fabulous details of nature, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think many are guilty of ignoring common birds, I know I am . But if I had Common Mynas I would photograph them all the time. All of our birds are relative to each of us in our part of the world I know. I think your Crimson Rose butterfly is incredible beautiful and I don't blame you for snapping away like you did.
ReplyDeleteAll your photos are lovely to look at. An enjoyable post.
ReplyDeleteThat male Baya Weaver may have just left it a little too late this year! But I wish him luck!
ReplyDeleteThe Crimson butterfly is simply enchanting!
ReplyDeleteAll amazing captures but I loved the baya weaver the best!
ReplyDeleteYou really do know your flora and fauna incredibly well. I love the detail in all these images, especially the Crimson Rose butterfly. I would love to visit this lake and do some photography!
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos of the birds the flowers and butterflies.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Crimson Rose butterfly.
Greetings Irma
Beautiful!! Thanks so much for taking time to share your birds AND nature with us at IRBB this weekend. Your bachelor button flower is very different than ones in USA.
ReplyDeleteStay safe. Happy birding.
Your photos today are outstanding - love the flowers, birds, well - everything! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I especially like the Weaver Bird!
ReplyDeletespectacular images of these, unusual to me, birds!! the purple aster may have been my favorite image. both the flower and your image of it!!
ReplyDeletethe butterflies are beautiful. unusual little bug on your water lily!!
Those purple bachelor buttons are beautiful and oh, those butterflies!
ReplyDeleteThese are extraordinary photos. They must be familiar birds for you, but I am fascinated to see yours.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. I think the Crimson Rose butterfly is my favourite. x
ReplyDeleteThe macro of the bug is good. I wonder if it is some type of shield bug? It has pretty markings. The water lily is gorgeous too. Love the butterfly shots. Such an unusual color to my eye.
ReplyDeleteHi Shiju! Your blog is a wonderful collection of beautiful photos! Congrats on all these exceptionally great photos! I am your newest follower. And thank you for your recent kind comment on my blog. I hope to see you again soon. Take care and have a fine week ahead. John
ReplyDeleteso much beautiy in your area. Love the waterlilies.
ReplyDeleteOn my travels I have seen a few Myna´s. They seem to be a lot of annoyance to people where they are. But they look quite interesting :) The butterfly is a beuty as well. Nice shots.
What a colourful post. Pretty birds, insects and flowers. That butterfly is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour photoshop works of art in the 1st photo are becoming more and more sophisticated - how does that work? It is good that you photographed the common species for us - because even if they are nothing special in India - here in Austria they are. And the Crimson Rose butterfly is breathtakingly beautiful. I've seen some beautiful butterflies in India before, but not this one ... I feel a little sorry for the pretty but clumsy male Baya Weaver - he will take a long time to find a female who is happy with his house construction ... Very much beautiful flower pictures, too!
ReplyDeleteAll the best and Happy August, Traude

I've been tinkering with Photoshop for many years now. In the process, I gained some skills to put things together. I've combined multiple off-the-shelf graphic templates to create the image. They are from a stock site called Envato.
DeleteWow so much beauty in the wildlife x#mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful set of photos and so colourful too :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a photographictastic week 👍
Your photos never fail to delight and amaze!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing at https://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2021/08/american-tobacco-campus-durham-nc.html
The Common Myna is far from popular here too. Beautiful photos from your visit.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, so many pretty birds! The crimson rose butterfly is beautiful and well done on capturing the little shield bug.
ReplyDeleteYour post glows with natural color, feathers and wonder. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the deep rich colors you found.
ReplyDeleteThat was a colourful post. We dislike the Indian Myna birds here...they are just a nuisance...however we also appreciate they are doing what birds are meant to do. Your flowers are so well captured. I loved doing pics of flowers close up!
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up this week for #LifeThisWeek. Glad you could join in. Hope to see you next Monday. Cheers, Denyse.
Wow. Your photos are magnificent. I especially love the butterflies.
ReplyDeletegorgeous collection.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment on my image and for sharing your beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteThat was fun ! We saw two myna birds wild in Florida once.
ReplyDelete(Sorry, I pushed enter before I was finished commenting) Mina birds are certainly *not* common in this country and I did not know what they were. After doing some research, we decided someone (not a good person) had them in captivity and let them loose. I really like all your other birds.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are simply stunning and a joy to behold.
ReplyDeleteWow, such stunning butterfly and the bug on waterlily - amazing. Thank you for colorful flowers as well. Take care & enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe red-white kite is impressive! Have met an artist who does birds in stained glass - when I saw her kingfisher I immediately thought to you:) The green bee eater is so colorful! Your butterflies are perfect! Hope you are doing well Emille (former: Jesh)
ReplyDeleteAll of your photos are beautiful, but the detail in the butterfly photos is stunning!

I am always soothed by the beautiful images you share. This week's photo of the asters in your garden is particularly appealing. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing post and exceptional photos. I have a problem down loading these big posts as we live in the country and we have a maximum speed of only 0.5!! Sorry I have not been visiting, I just seem to be extra busy. I am taking photos but not much time to go through them! Keep safe Diane
ReplyDeleteWow...so much color in your photos and they are always so clear....Michelle
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful flowers! I just love the details on the bug that you captured with your macro lens.
