My six year old believes it's not cool to be in pictures...
If forced, he will rebel by refusing to smile and makes a sad face...
Further force can prompt the most fake smile...
Then, he becomes playful and frustrates me like this Calvin & Hobbes incident...
He will look away just when I have composed a great shot...
Trick is to have loads of patience and wait for the natural smile...
Location: MG Road boulevard, Bangalore
Its Awesome , Love the concept .
ReplyDeleteI'd say you were well rewarded by your persistence. Fabulous series!
ReplyDeleteCactus Shadows/Sun
A perfect setting for a six year old but, as I know children, co-operation is not their strong point where a camera is involved. Considering, you did very well and you got a bonus of all the other faces that as parents we often do not want , yet 30 years later appreciate sometimes more than the required charming smile.
ReplyDeletePatience paid off!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you wove the story. My kids hate having their picture taken and have banned me from posting their pictures.

I don't know, Shiju, I still have a problem with my 42, 30, & 28-year-olds...they were better about it when they were younger! I thought Nishu often responded positively to CHOCOLATE!
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute! Not all kids like their pictures taken. I love the comics. That room looks sweet!

ReplyDeleteHe surely knows how to pose. :)
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is the best because it looks like he's in a cartoon world.

At least he gave you a smile at the end.
ReplyDeleteShadow Shots at my page.
He is such a handsome fellow that I think he will someday have lots of photos taken of him. Cool that you finally got the shot you wanted, patience usually wins out in the end.
ReplyDeleteMy grandkids, all the way from the adult ones to the wee wittle ones, love to get their pictures taken and to take the pictures too. The wee wittle ones take our phones and take their own pictures of each other and themselves. And at the ages of 2 and 3 that is pretty good that they even know how to do it. They are exposed to too much too soon.
Thank you for sharing such a great family moment with all of us for this weeks Theme Thursday. I am sure your son thought it was a nightmare but it turned into a special time. Have a great week taking more pictures.
God bless.
Oh man.. this post is just amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice set of photographs and the graffiti wall is epic. :)

Happy life!
These are fantastic and a great future treasure.

ReplyDeleteBy the way nice pictures....... yes patience is the watchword for photographers.
