McDonald's is relaunching its Piri Piri Fries in Bangalore. I was invited for a fun afternoon with son and wife to our neighborhood McDonald's.
Here's a photo tour of the McDonald's Piri Piri experience...
The Piri Piri spice mix needs to be mixed with the regular french fries...
Piri piri is the Swahili word for 'pepper pepper'. It is also called African bird's eye chili. Use the 'Shake Shake Bag' to mix it...
And the spicy Piri Piri fries are ready...
The McDonald's Piri Piri fries seem to be made with the Indian palate in mind. It has an overwhelming garlic flavor which combines well with Piri Piri to give that extra zing...
They were far too spicy for the boy...
Piri Piri fries make great alien antenna too...
Chicken Maharaja-Mac burger...
Hot chocolate fudge to douse the fire...
Boy was so happy to own the Ninja Turtle toy that came with the Happy meal...
And to make things exciting, McDonald's have created the #UnshareMyFries game where Bangaloreans share their best and wackiest excuses not to share their 'Piripirilicious' fries to win a one-month free supply of Piri Piri fries!
Visit www.unsharemyfries.com to participate.
Nice photos

Too bad you can't get the Piri Piri spice mix for McDonald's in the U.S. It sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteWould love to have those McDonald's flavors in Canada too. :-)
ReplyDeleteSitting here in a temperature of 41 today the ice-cream is looking very tempting. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteWould be too spicy for me too. I could go the choc fudge ice cream though
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo's and you've made me hungry! lol
ReplyDeleteI would totally eat a whole packet of these, if it meant I got to chase it up with some soft serve ice cream! Love the antennae photo :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try the Piri Piri fries. They sound yummylicious.
ReplyDeleteI would very much enjoy the spicier fries though I have long ago outgrown McDonald's. I enjoyed seeing Manju and Nishu. I have a feeling you had no trouble eating the spicy selection.
ReplyDeleteHope the New Year has started off well for you. By the way, at long last I mailed two Sony Holland CDs that I have hauled back and forth to India without posting. I hope they are still as beautiful as she and her voice are and that you get some enjoyment from them. She and Jerry are now performing five nights a week in San Francisco - two at the Ritz Carlton and three at the JW Marriott. Just my luck to be living in Sacramento, a hundred miles away. I've only gotten to see them once.
My favorite photo is the alien antenna. What fun. Here in New Zealand they make a Kiwi Burger, with beet root and a fried egg. I am guessing McDonalds caters to all the local flavors.
ReplyDeleteNice photos and I want some now it's as simple as that :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great 2015 :-)
Yum!
