Feel of the rain is captured. Reducing the saturation slightly will strengthen it. One should always look out for interesting lightings which helps in creating good photographs. Just before and after a storm you get some great lightings.
I love this one. I understand the story but can also feel the rain, smell the summer heat, hear the motor of the on-coming car...This picture really takes me inside of it.
