On my recent visit to Saul Kere lake, I saw some very pretty visiting and resident birds. Here are the pics...
...
Rains continue to lash, but makes the surroundings lush. Red Canna lily...
...
A resident White-throated Kingfisher was the first bird to flash its colors...
...
A visiting Spot-billed Pelican was seen flying around...
...
A flock of Scaly-breasted Munia was seen next...
...
Saw a Eurasian Coot training her chicks...
...
A Black Drongo couple were seen being attached and detached in a span of few minutes...
...
A female Black-rumped Flameback (Lesser Goldenbacked Woodpecker) was seen far away...

ReplyDeleteI really like the Black-rumped Flameback and the Wilewaal.
I wish you a nice weekend.
Greetings Irma
My fav are the woodpeckers, no doubt. Their colours are amazing.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteLove the gorgeous flowers and all the birds. The colorful Woodpeckers, Orioles and Kingfisher are a few of my favorites. Awesome photos and post. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
Flying jewels what more can I saw . Professionally captured. Beautiful as your header of the photo's above the sofa.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the white-naped woodpecker. We have ones the exact same shape, but black, white and red! I just saw one the other day. AMAZING photos!
ReplyDeleteSo similar to species we have here but different.
ReplyDeleteThose two woodpeckers are very striking and colourful, really standing out on your dull day. Love the Coots - great portraits.
ReplyDeleteIf that opening picture is your lounge, I'm not sure my wife would stand for me doing a similar thing. She says I spend too much time on birds - LOL!
That big woodpecker looks a lot like our Pileated except for the colors! Beautiful photos...love the baby Coots! They are adorable! Happy weekend. I love the very first photo..WOW!
ReplyDelete...these are fabulous my friend, but the Eurasian Coot feeding her chick is the winner for me.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are amazing, as always! You do an incredible job!

Hello,:=) Stunning shots of all the birds. The Woodpecker's colours really pop on the tree, all the Coot captures are charming especially mother feeding chick. I think this may be my favourite one this week.

This all makes me want to visit Asia again!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful & thank you so much for sharing. The colors are phenomenal. I live by Fox River and I see many birds, ducks & sometimes swans. I also see many squirrels and rabbits and other critters when we go out on our walks near Fox River. It's only about 4 or 5 blocks from me. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteExcellent images of the birds, but, I love the White-naped Woodpecker and the Black-rumped Flameback, beautiful Shiju.
ReplyDeleteI know that I repeat myself but you make really good photos. The bird shots are crystal clear.

ReplyDeleteThat daisy is everywhere here too right now, and we have very cool days and nights for November. Normally we are heading into Summer already being hot.

A beautiful Canna, and the most fascinating colorful birds! I just love woodpeckers.
ReplyDeleteYour wild birds and flower photos are absolutely wonderful, as always, but I want to add how much I like the cozy room in the first picture. I hope the rains are just enough and not too much.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos and brilliantly coloured birds.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I visit your site I'm amazed at the amazing subjects you've pictured. If only we had birds like these in the UK.
ReplyDeleteThat Coot chick has a face only his mother could love :) Thanks for linking up. Your photos are always impressive.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this visit to a green summer! November in Finland is grey. I loved those two woodpeckers with their yellow & orange feathers! We have here only the common types with some red.
